Description

In the heart of the Pays de Serres, the Lac du Salabert is a natural lake of 25 hectares. Riparian forest and meadows border the lake. You can walk around this lake on foot, a very easy walk. There is a bird hide to observe birds. Among the birds you can see are Mute Swan, Grey Heron, Eurasian Coot, Eurasian Moorhen, Little Egret, Great Egret, Common Tern, Little Ringed Plover, Black Kite, and Osprey.

Français: Au cœur des coteaux escarpés et sauvages du Pays de Serres, le site du Lac du Salabert, réserve faune-flore naturelle, centre de découverte de la nature, s’étend sur 25 hectares. La Maison de la Nature y propose des itinéraires équipés et animés pour découvrir de manière interactive ce milieu naturel préservé : cabanes d’affût pour observer la faune, sentier botanique pour apprendre à connaître la flore, initiation à la pêche et démonstration d’apiculture. Lake Salabert is located in Lacépède in Lot-et-Garonne, in the south-west of France. It is about 30 minutes from Agen and Villeneuve-sur-Lot, 45 minutes from Marmande, 1 hour 30 minutes from Bordeaux and 2 hours from Toulouse. From the parking you can follow the 3 km circular path on foot.
