Description

Les Marais d'Itteville is located between the rivers Juine and Essonne, just north of the village of Itteville. The marshes are classified as a Natura 2000 area. From the trails or observatories one can commonly observe many species of nesting birds. For example Common Kingfisher, Great Crested Grebe , Little Grebe , Northern Shoveler , Gadwall Mallard , Mute Swan , Canada Goose , Cetti's Warbler and more rarely Osprey , Great Egret , Little Egret , Water Rail and Purple Heron.

Situé entre la Juine et l'Essonne, les marais d'Itteville sont une zone marécageuse classée zone Natura 2000. Parking is available at the end of Chemin du Faucets in Itteville, the rest of the trip is done on foot.
