This 156 hectares nature reserve is located at the confluence of the Garonne and the Ariège rivers. Location is 10 km south of Toulouse.

Description

The Nature Reserve is rich in biodiversity. The mix of woods, wetlands, cliffs and agricultural areas offers a diversity of landscapes and a mosaic of natural environments. This attracts a large number of animal and plant species. At least 136 bird species a few minutes from Toulouse. Among the birds that can be seen here are Black-crowned Night-Heron, Purple Heron, Booted Eagle, Eurasian Hobby, Black Kite and Golden Oriole.

From Toulouse ring road take the D4 Road to Lacroix-Falgarde. Park entrance on the right hand side 7 km away.
