Description

The Baie de Canche Nature Reserve covers part of the right bank of the river of the same name. A set of two environments characterizes this site. On the one hand, the estuary, where the river flows into the sea, is a rich and extremely diverse place of life. On the other hand, the dunes. A large population of birds breed in the dunes, but the the bay and its mudflats are also a stopover point for tens of thousands of migratory birds. Among the birds you can encounter in the area are Eurasian Nightjar, Eurasian Spoonbill, Dunlin, Eurasian Curlew, Eurasian Oystercatcher, Common Shelduck, Linnet, European Stonechat, Sandwich Tern and Little Egret.
