Manche  >  France

The Beauguillot national nature reserve is a very important migratory stopover. It is a polder landscape by the sea.

Description

The Beauguillot national nature reserve is an incredible wintering place. Many rarities are often seen on this site! There is a path that goes to the sea, it is equipped with two large observatories. The other path runs along the polders on the right but you are uncovered. A circular walk is very difficult to do because the path that connects the two paths along the sea (but not visible) is almost impassable (a lot of rushes and brambles). I advise not to do it knowing that when you are uncovered and therefore seen by birds from afar this greatly limits observations. The birds come to rest in the polder at high tide, remember to watch the tide times (see the link below). After birding look for seals, they are very numerous.

Quelques oiseaux que vous pouvez voir ici: Brent Goose, Garganey, Northern Shoveler, Common Eider, Common Scoter, Common Goldeneye, Red-breasted Merganser, Eurasian Oystercatcher, Reed Bunting, Zitting Cisticola, Northern Pintail, European Golden Plover, Grey Plover, Ruff, Common Redshank, Dunlin, Sanderling, Whinchat, Cirl Bunting, Cetti's Warbler, Sedge Warbler, Peregrine Falcon, Western Marsh Harrier, Eurasian Spoonbill, Great Egret, Little Egret, Common Kingfisher, Common Gull, Eurasian Curlew, Whimbrel, Sandwich Tern.
