Saint-Vaast la Hougue has many different coastal habitats and attracts many birds such as waders or waterfowl.

Made up of different habitats, the coastline of Saint-Vaast offers a mosaic of possibilities for the birds that come to probe the mudflats of the bay or fish in the open sea. Among the birds that you can encounter are Common Scoter, Long-tailed Duck, Red-breasted Merganser, Red-necked Grebe, Purple Sandpiper, Bar-tailed Godwit, Eurasian Curlew and Common Eider.

You can reach the city center by car and park or you can even go to the Hougue lighthouse, where there is parking. Click on the P in the map for directions.
