Description

The Iles Chausey archipelago ( 16 km off Granville) has an exceptional tidal range. The landscape can change very quickly. It is a well preserved place with areas accessible only at low tide which allows the birds to rest. The interior of the island also has a hedgerow area allowing migrating passerines to rest. Red-breasted Merganser nests here as well as in certain years the very rare Roseate Tern. On your way to the main island Chausey you can easily observe dolphins and many seabirds like Northern Gannet, Common Eider and Atlantic Puffin.
