Large area of wet hay meadows. The rare Corn Crake breeds in the grasslands and many other meadow birds can be found here.

Description

Large prairie area near the village of Varennes-le-Grand where many species of grassland birds such as Eurasian Curlew, Whinchat, Corn Bunting and Western Yellow Wagtail are found. In these grasslands the Corn Crake is a regular breeder. During wet periods, the grasslands can become flooded, which attracts many migrating birds and waders.

Access via the village of Varennes-le-Grand, go to Rue des Camelins then take the motorable path which leads to the meadows.
