A city park next to a highway, but remarkebly rich in birds. A good spot if you have a spare day in Tblisi.
The park has paved roads and locals drive through the park and picknick on the grass. The park looks more like an open forest with grass. There are six woodpecker species here, Lesser Spotted Woodpecker, Middle Spotted Woodpecker, Great Spotted Woodpecker, Syrian Woodpecker, Eurasian Green Woodpecker and Black Woodpecker. Other woodland birds include many visible Golden Oriole, nice krynicki subspecies of the Eurasian Jay with a black cap and Eurasian Scops Owl. Closer to the Kura river are wetlands and reedbeds which I did not explore.
You can reach te park via the Rustavi highway. You can apparently drive your car through the park, but obviously you will see more birds when walking
