The Auersmacher field is home to the highest density of Skylark in the entire Saarland. It is a large field with many information boards and hiking trails and cyclists, walkers and birders share the area. Other birds you can expect are Eurasian Kestrel, Red Kite, Common Buzzard, Black Kite and Eurasian Green Woodpecker.
