Description
The Banter See offers a tide-independent body of water directly behind the dike of the North Sea, which is particularly interesting for resting water birds. There is a Common Tern colony on Lake Banter, which has been intensively researched by the Institute of Avian Research "Vogelwarte Helgoland" since the 1990s. An information center / museum will also be built here in the future.
