Herrenstein Castle is an estate that is still managed by a count today. The castle itself cannot be entered, but the paths around the ponds can.

It is worth watching birds around Burg Herrenstein as you will find large groups of all kinds of waterfowl. Mute Swan, Tufted Duck, Great Crested Grebe, Great Egret, Common Kingfisher and more can be found there all the time. You can also occasionally see Northern Goshawk and Eurasian Hobby.



The area can be reached by car. There is a gravel car park opposite the castle. There is also a bus stop nearby.
