Description

The Elfrather See is a lake that is mostly interesting in winter for wintering waterfowl, mainly diving ducks such as Tufted Duck, Common Pochard and others. Also Goosander can be seen quite reliably in winter. In the winter 2021 / 2022 Long-tailed Duck spent several weeks on the lake. There are many trees and hedges around the lake, which contain a wide variety of common song birds. The main attraction are the winter waterfowl, though.
