Description

Gellenbach is an area of open fields east of the city of Bonn. In the summer you can see Whinchat, European Stonechat and Red-backed Shrike. In summer, the Red-backed Shrike likes to sit on the thorny bushes, right next to a fence. The Whinchat like to be more in the field.

Access

The area is located 8 km east of Bonn between the villages of Birlinghofen and Rauschendorf. You can park off the L490 and then follow the path. Click on the P in the map for directions.
