Description

A quiet backroad through the small settlement of Groß Karrendorf leads to a parking place. From there you can walk (3 km) towards Insel Koos. The Koos island itself is off limits. On both side of the road are wetland and reedbeds. Here you can see many nice birds like Spotted Redshank. White-tailed Eagle, Red-necked Phalarope, Bearded Tit, Curlew Sandpiper or Wood Sandpiper, to name just a few.
