A nice birdwatching spot in northern Berlin, good for ducks and other waterfowl.

Description

There are several ponds here where many waterfowl can be seen, including GadwallEurasian WigeonCommon TealNorthern ShovelerCommon PochardCommon Goldeneye and several others. During autumn migration several different geese can be found here, and sometimes Common Crane as well. Red-necked Grebe, Great Crested Grebe, and Little Grebe can often be seen here, and there is a tree in the Inselteich where Great Cormorant and Grey Heron can often be seen sunning themselves. There are four observation towers which provide a clearer view over the lakes.
