Description

The Ketscher Rheininsel is a nature reserve near Ketsch. The area on the right of the Rhine is 490 ha and has been protected since 1950. The island is part of the Rhine floodplain forest. It has a wide variety of woodland and birds and waterfowl. Among the birds you can see here are Black Kite, Common Kingfisher, Grey-headed Woodpecker, Red-backed Shrike, Goosander, Common Goldeneye, Bluethroat and Eurasian Bullfinch.
