Description

The Fish Ponds offer a nice walk between the ponds. Much of the ponds are shielded by reedbeds with Bearded Tit and Penduline Tit and other reedbed birds. The hides offer a look onto the water, where you might see Common Teal, Tufted Duck, Ferruginous Duck , Great Crested Grebe etc. Often there are White-tailed Eagle in the trees around the ponds. There is a huge resting area for migrating Common Crane just behind the ponds. That area is off limits, but huge amounts of Common Crane flies over the ponds at the right time in autumn.
