Description
The Ockstädter Kirschenberg is one of the most important areas for the Common Redstart (be careful not to confuse it with the Black Redstart). The Common Redstart is represented here with over 50 territories and is considered to be endangered in Hessen and has an insufficiently bad state of conservation. Other nice birds you can see in this area are Wryneck, Sparrowhawk, Short-toed Treecreeper, European Turtle-Dove, Red-backed Shrike and Little Owl.
