An area of ponds used for growing carps which is partly protected. Great for cycling and hiking and hearing Great Bittern boom.

Description

The area of Peitzer Teiche is very flat and the paths lead along little canals and through the reeds plus some fields and pine forest. It's home to White-tailed Eagle, Black Kite, differents warblers throughout the summer and lots of water fowl in winter.

Access

One can reach the area by train or bicycle. From the stop 'Teichland' (part of the Cottbus ABC ticket) one can follow the yellow signs of the ciruclar route of 7.5km. Cycling this route is also possible. One can also get there by car to 'Maustmühle' and has a paved road for wheelchair access (not the whole circular route).
