Description

The Ruppersdorfer See is especially good for ducks, geese and herons throughout the year. It´s one of the best breeding sites for Black-necked Grebe with sometimes up to 25 pairs. Each day White-tailed Eagle turn up and Common Crane overnight especially in autumn in good numbers. Different management is needed for waders so the place is only good for them when the water level is low. You should visit the site in the morning as the light conditions are poor later.
