The Biebrich Palace, one of the most important baroque palaces along the Rhine, is located directly on the banks of the Rhine in the Wiesbaden district of Biebrich. The Biebrich Palace, which was designed as a garden house in 1701 and expanded into a residential palace by 1703 and finally served as the main residence of the princes and dukes of Nassau until 1841, is now used by the Hessian state government for representation purposes.
