Description

Several times a year, water penetrating the Baltic Sea inundates large parts of the lowland around the Sehlendorfer Binnensee and forms the basis for the formation of salt marshes and brackish reed beds. The lake has a large amount of water birds and waders, such as Great Egret, Eurasian Curlew , Common Teal, but also breeding Common Crane .
