This birdingplace is a conservation area around a little stream just north of the village of Heskem.
There are three segments in this birdingplace. To the south west you can find reed areas separated by a thin line of trees and shrubs. More to the north east there is a little pond surrounded by grasland and in the eastern shore of Wittelsberger Bach there is a little lush forest. The complete area is surrounded by fields and farmland. Among the birds you can see in the area are Bluethroat, Marsh Harrier, Red Kite, White Stork, Northern Lapwing, Grey Partridge, Water Rail and Grasshopper Warbler.
There are parking areas in the village but also just next to a little gravel road. The circular route indicated on the map is about 3 km long.
