Pigadia is a small green village on the island of Karpathos. In the surrounding bushes, palm trees, beaches and forested areas the birding is nice and easy.

Description

In Pigadia birdwatching is easy going. Walk along the coast and see or in the forested areas, the birds are all around and with always some nice species to see in the green surroundings of the village. If you walk inland it is mountainous and sometimes quite steep. Nice birds you can encounter are Spotted Flycatcher, Common Kingfisher, Barred Warbler, Sardinian Warbler and Blue Rock Thrush.
