Wineries, olive orchards blends with rocky hills, in this pittoresque valley, close to Schinias National Park.
Very low human impact in this mainly agricultural area, which can be very productive in spring and autumn. Species like Red-footed Falcon , Golden Oriole can be seen during migration, while Black-headed Bunting , Woodchat Shrike and Cirl Bunting breed here in large populations. Look for Sombre Tit on your way to Grammatiko village. Archeological site of Ramnous is also worth vitising.
Best to get to the area by car.
Be careful on NO PHOTOGRAPHY signs, there is a Navy military base close by (Agia Marina)
