Description
The Ordacsehi Berek area consists largely of marshland, but the walk leads mainly through sandy grassland where you may encounter Northern Wheatear, Whinchat and Western Yellow Wagtail. There are shallow pools where Ferruginous Duck and Mallard swim. A section of the path is also flooded, and wading bird species such as Marsh Sandpiper and Common Greenshank are often found here. There is also a small European Bee-eater colony. Other birds you can see include: White-tailed Eagle, Pygmy Cormorant, Great Reed Warbler, Reed Warbler, Eurasian Hoopoe, Purple Heron, Great Egret, Grey Heron, Common Buzzard, and Western Marsh Harrier.

Ordacsehi Berek is located near Fonyód on Lake Balaton. There is a parking lot at the Berek világa látogató központ, which can be reached via Fonyódliget. Press P on the map for directions. The area is easy to explore on foot, but it can be muddy. There are many branches off the path, but they do not belong to the official path.
