Budel-Dorplein and Ringselvennen

Noord-Brabant (de Kempen)  >  Netherlands

Fens on the edge of Budel-Dorplein. A true waterfowl magnet. Especially in during spring and autumn migration.

Description

There is an extensive forest and drifting sand area between Weert and Budel. The Weerter and Budelerbergen, Loozerheide, Ringselven and Boshoverheide together form an essential part of the big bordercrossing natural area of Kempen~Broek. In addition, there are pine forests and moors. This bird spot is well known in the province of Noord-Brabant for its migratory waders. Many special observations are made here. Particularly the cooling pond of the old zinc factory is a hotspot.
