Description

On Drachterveld you can find all sorts of meadow birds. There is a swampy area where birds can dig for food. Birds are also breeding in the area. It's a peacefull place where you get surprised by the variety of birds. Some of the birds you can see are: Western Yellow Wagtail, Little Ringed Plover, Reed Bunting, Sedge Warbler, Whooper Swan, Black-tailed Godwit, Common Redshank, Common Greenshank, Eurasian Oystercatcher, Great Crested Grebe and Northern Shoveler.

Nederlands: Het Drachterveld id een 22 hectare groot waterbergingsgebied waar veel weidevogels te vinden zijn. Het is een moerassig gebied waar vogels voedsel kunnen vinden. Ook broeden er vogels in het gebied. Het is een rustige plek waar je over de paden kunt wandelen, de rust van de natuur kunt ervaren en verrast wordt door de verscheidenheid aan vogels. Enkele van de vogels die je kunt zien zijn Western Yellow Wagtail, Little Ringed Plover, Reed Bunting, Sedge Warbler, Whooper Swan, Black-tailed Godwit, Common Redshank, Common Greenshank, Eurasian Oystercatcher, Great Crested Grebe en Northern Shoveler.

Access

You can enter the park by the end of the road called 'Wijzenddijkje'. You can drive, walk, cycle to the place. There is no parking place there. You can park you car in the green just before entering.

Nederlands: De ingang ban het gebied is aan het einde van de weg 'Wijzenddijkje'. Je kunt rijdend, lopend of fietsend komen. Er is geen echte parkeerplaats. Vlak voor de ingang kun je de auto in het groen parkeren.
