This place is located in the river basin of the Maas. Due to the great diversity of landscapes, it is suitable for many birds.
Due to the construction of the secondary channel in recent years in the floodplains of the Maas near Batenburg, water flows through this area. This has created a peninsula with gently sloping banks. This shallow transition zone from water to land attracts many birds .Nice birds you can find here are Eurasian Wigeon, Northern Lapwing, Common Redshank, Eurasian Spoonbill and Grey Partridge.
There is enough parking place around the area. You can visit the area on foot.
