A large nature reserve near Kekerdom and Millingen aan de Rijn. This area is one of the first rewilding sites of The Netherlands next to the rivers.

Description

The Millingerwaard is a large area with small lakes, forests and open areas. The area is in open connection with the river, so it might be possible that the Millingerwaard is flooded. The whole area is open for visitors, what means that you can go off road and discover every part of the area. Some of the birds you can see here are: White-tailed EagleOspreyBlack TernCommon SandpiperEurasian HobbyWater PipitCommon SnipeJack SnipeBluethroat and Great Egret.
