Along the Brekkenpaad you can hear thousands of Eurasian Wigeon whistling on the lake in the winter months. On the north side of the area the are wet meadows that are rich in nutrients and attract many birds. The entire path is very rich in birds in every season, highly recommended! Among the birds you can see along the way are Greater White-fronted Goose, Pink-footed Goose, Barnacle Goose, Common Shelduck, Northern Shoveler, Common TealSmewEurasian OystercatcherNorthern LapwingBar-tailed GodwitBlack-tailed GodwitRuffSnipeGreat BitternSpoonbillSedge Warbler,Western Yellow WagtailMeadow PipitEuropean Goldfinch and Reed Bunting.


Nederlands: Open gebied met fietspad en wandelpad waar in elk seizoen een diversiteit aan vogels te zien is. In De wintermaanden hoor je de duizenden smienten fluiten op het meer. Aan de noordkant vind je plasdras gebied, dat voedselrijk is voor veel vogels. Het gehele pad is zeer vogelrijk in elk seizoen. Een aanrader!
