Description

Striep is a high water refuge on the island of Terschelling where birds seek refuge when it's high tide in the Wadden Sea. You can see all kinds of waders, ducks and gulls fouraging, very often in large groups. During migration sometimes rarities and special birds can be found here. Among the birds you can expect here are Avocet, Common Shelduck, Common Redshank, Dunlin, Red Knot, Eurasian Curlew, Bar-tailed Godwit, Common Ringed Plover, Ruddy Turnstone and Eurasian Oystercatcher.
