Description

In the Vosse- en Weerlanerpolder near Hillegom you can enjoy a piece of peat meadow area with a surprising wealth of plants and birds! You can see no less than 93 species of birds here, including the Common Redshank, Common Snipe, Western Yellow Wagtail, Eurasian Spoonbill, Black-tailed Godwit, Great Egret and various ducks.

Access

Bus 50 (between Haarlem Station and Leiden Central) stops nearby, at the Hillegom Patrimonium stop (about a 10-minute walk).

Bus 57 (between Nieuw-Vennep and Leiden Centraal) also stops nearby at the Hillegom Weeresteinlaan stop (about a 15-minute walk).

Walking and cycling paths have been constructed with bridges.
