Albufeira do Azinhalinho is a reservoir surrounded by an undulating area of open fields and patches of woodland. One of the most common birds here is Black-winged Stilt. Other birds you can spot include Egyptian Goose, Northern Shoveler, Gadwall, Eurasian Teal, Common Swift, Pallid Swift, Northern Lapwing, Common Sandpiper, Little Grebe, Glossy Ibis, White Stork, Crested Lark, European Bee-eater, Sardinian Warbler and several species of herons.
