Description
Easy 2.5 km hike in the Cadí-Moixeró Natural Park. The itinerary follows the Ruta del Trencapinyes a route specially made for seeing Red Crossbill. You walk through the black pine forests of this area of El Cadí and will discover the Orris viewpoint, with its spectacular views of the Catalan Pyrenees. But you will also cross several beautiful alpine meadows. Apart from the very nice scenery you can encounter many other interesting birds here. Foremost the Bearded Vulture (Lammergeier), but also big groups of Griffon Vulture. Other birds seen here are Golden Eagle, Red-legged Partridge, Black Woodpecker, Red-billed Chough, Yellow-billed Chough, Western Bonelli's Warbler, Mistle Thrush, en Citril Finch.

The Ruta del Trencapinyes is a signposted itinerary that starts from the small parking place (click on the P on the map to go there). The difference in height that is bridged during the walk is 130 meters.
