Description
The roof of a parking garage in center of Jönköping. With a great view over the lake of Vättern. You go up to the 9th floor and bird from there. A true "drive in" location. After autumn storms on the west coast, some nice pelagic birds have been seen over the years.
Good species are Great Crested Grebe, Great Skua, Pomarine Skua, Arctic Skua and Long-tailed Skua. All of these birds (except Great Crested Grebe) are hard to see inland. Other scarcer species that can be seen are Little Auk, Sabine's Gull, Northern Gannet, Leach's Storm Petrel, Sooty Shearwater, Kittiwake, Northern Fulmar, Velvet Scoter, Common Scoter and Long-tailed Duck.
