Description
Lake Zürich (Zürichsee) is a big lake extending southeast of the city of Zürich. There are many points along the banks of the lake to check out the birdlife. Like this point in Horgen. Especially in winter more waterfowl can be seen on the lake, including Red-necked Grebe and Yellow-legged Gull. Common birds to see are Mute Swan, Great Crested Grebe, Grey Heron, Black-headed Gull and several species of ducks. Red-crested Pochard is breeding and wintering on the lake.
