Description
The area of the Salmsacher Aachmündung has different biotopes. Forest, stream and lake give the opportunity to observe different bird species. Black-headed Gull, Grey Heron, Mallard, Eurasian Coot, Eurasian Moorhen, Great Cormorant, Mute Swan, Common Kingfisher and Great Crested Grebe are practically certain to be spotted during a visit.
Depending on the season and luck, you can also discover Long-tailed Tit, Rook, Common Tern, Great Egret, Red-crested Pochard, Gadwall, Tufted Duck, White Stork, Great Spotted Woodpecker, etc. In winter, flocks of thousands of individuals can be observed.
