Description
Reputedly 192 species visit the area and wetlands around the village of Gökova, mostly on migration. That includes 5 species of lark, 4 of wheatear, vagrant falcons. 60 species breed including Icterine Warbler and Great Reed Warbler. Also White-throated Kingfisher can be spotted. Wintering wildfowl such as Common Teal, Northern Pintail and Red-breasted Goose. Boat trips available along the river and coastline. All seasons good except in summer heat.
