Description
The Blue-cheeked Bee-eater breeds in Asia, Northern Africa, and the Middle East. They also do so in eastern Turkey. They nest solitarily or in loose colonies of up to ten birds. They sometimes nest in colonies with European Bee-eater. The dry and open surroundings of the hamlet of Hüyüklü are a good spot to see Blue-cheeked Bee-eater. They are summer guests and breed in the area. Other birds you can see in the area are European Bee-eater, Laughing Dove, European Turtle Dove, European Roller, Eurasian Hoopoe, Black Francolin, Long-legged Buzzard, Black Kite, Syrian Woodpecker, Northern Wheatear, Finsch's Wheatear and Graceful Prinia.
