Description
Meles Delta is a small wetland located in the city center of Izmir. The Meles Delta takes its name from the Meles stream which pours into the innermost part of the Gulf of Izmir. The area is a semi-saline wetland formed in the area where rivers merge into the sea. Among the birds you can encounter are Black-headed Gull, Common Kingfisher, Spur-winged Lapwing, Common Teal, Greater Flamingo, Great Crested Grebe, Black-necked Grebe, Common Sandpiper, Great Cormorant and Little Egret.

To come to Meles Delta by public transport, you can get off and walk on the Bayraklı bridge. You can get off at the port stop of the tram and walk. In addition, the area is directly on the bicycle route. The area also has a large car park. Click on the P in the map for directions or coordinates.
