Description
Yeniçağ Gölü is a natural lake with a length of 7 km and a width of 2.5 km. The water level of the lake varies seasonally depending on the rainfall. The area around the lake is reedy and swampy. The lake has a bird watching tower. I often go and observe and take bird photos. Among the birds you can encounter are Ruddy Shelduck, Garganey, Chukar, Black-winged Stilt, Corn Crake, Spotted Crake,Little Crake, Stone-curlew, White-winged Tern, Black Stork, Great Bittern, Little Bittern, Purple Heron, Squacco Heron, Black-crowned Night Heron, Eurasian Spoonbill, Eurasian Black Vulture, Griffon Vulture, Lesser Spotted Eagle, Imperial Eagle, Golden Eagle, Western Marsh Harrier, Montagu's Harrier, Hen Harrier,Long-legged Buzzard, Eurasian Scops Owl, European Roller, Red-footed Falcon, Moustached Warbler, Barred Warbler, Krüper's Nuthatch, Semicollared Flycatcher, Collared Flycatcher, Ortolan Bunting and Black-headed Bunting.
