Description
Beaufort Hill Ponds and Woodlands is good for winter wildfowl such as Eurasian Wigeon, Gadwall, Common Teal and Tufted Duck. Also moorland species like Eurasian Skylark, Meadow Pipit, Common Snipe, Jack Snipe, Northern Lapwing, European Stonechat and Northern Wheatear, possibly Grasshopper Warbler. In the woods Willow Warbler and Common Chiffchaff. The area has disabled access and viewing platform.

Access
From the Heads of the Valleys road A465, exit on A4281 for Ebbw Vale and after half mile go left on Llangynidr road to Beaufort. Reserve is indicated by brown amenity signposts. Limited car parking (8 spaces) at eastern and southern sides. Or onstreet parking. Click on a P in the map for directions. Nearest train station Ebbw Vale is half mile away. Buses pass regularly by the reserve. The suggested route is 2 km.
