Description
Brampton Abbotts receding winter floods attract 3 species of egret, herons, and gulls. Sand Martin colony in spring. River has Common Kingfisher, Grey Wagtail and Goosander. Fields have Red-legged Partridge, Barn Owl, Little Owl, Red Kite, Common Buzzard, Common Raven, Sparrowhawk, Eurasian Skylark and hares. Ancient orchard in village attracts thrushes, finches, Yellowhammer and Stock Dove.

From A40/M50 roundabout take Ledbury exit, first left, left again at T junction then immediately right. Park at church, village hall or farm cafe. Bus 459 from Ledbury or Ross, one bus per day. Nearest train station Hereford, 10 miles. The circular walk indicated on the map is about 6 km.
