Description
Broad Water has phragmites reedbeds that have Great Bittern, Water Rail, Reed Warbler and Sedge Warbler. Sea ducks, Common Guillemot, Northern Gannet, Kittiwake and Red-breasted Merganser pass by offshore. Black Redstart in winter, terns, Little Gull, Northern Wheatear, perhaps also Red Phalarope in autumn. Many waders especially Eurasian Oystercatcher, Eurasian Curlew, Purple Sandpiper, Common Sandpiper and Common Ringed Plover. White-tailed Eagle have been seen.

From Tywyn take minor road north, parallel to railway. Limited roadside parking on right after two miles. Extensive offroad parking at own risk (grassed area can be excessively wet after rain or high tides, check tide table)
