Doward Hills are mostly woodland with some heath, wildflower meadows, quarries, rocky outcrops, views over the Wye. Peregrine Falcon, Sparrowhawk, Eurasian Goshawk, Tawny Owl, Eurasian Treecreeper, Eurasian Nuthatch, Eurasian Siskin, Lesser Redpoll, Brambling, Wood Warbler, Middle Spotted Woodpecker, Hawfinch, roe deer, fallow deer, adders and slow worm can all be seen

Access
By car, leave the A40 Monmouth-Ross road at Whitchurch or Ganarew. Click on a P in the map for directions. Bus 34 stops at either village. No train stations nearby.
