Landscaped gravel pits, now a popular leisure area with jetski, sailing, fishing, model boats, cycling, in easy reach of Birmingham and Coventry.
Kingsbury Water Park has four bird hides in the quieter areas. 230 bird species have been recorded. 250 pairs of Black-headed Gull breed on the islands along with Common Tern and Arctic Tern. Other birds you can expect are Little Egret, Great Cormorant, Common Kingfisher and passage waders. Disabled access in some areas.
M42 junction 9 from Birmingham then A4097. From Coventry, leave M6 at junction 4 then head north on A446 the A4097. Several parkings, (dayticket £4.50, £3.00 after 4 pm). Click on a P in the map to get directions to a parking.
