Description
On the islands of Loch Maree Islands National Nature Reserve Red-throated Diver and Black-throated Diver nest. Osprey, White-tailed Eagle, Golden Eagle, Peregrine Falcon, Hen Harrier, Common Buzzard and Common Raven may be seen overhead. Common Crossbill, woodpeckers, Eurasian Woodcock, Wood Warbler, Pied Flycatcher and Eurasian Nuthatch in the woods. Perhaps Bohemian Waxwing in winter. Pine marten are fairly common in the area and may visit the feeders in the car parks. Red deer, roe deer and red squirrels, possibly wild cat.

Access
There are several parking spots along the main road. The site is 60 miles west of Inverness and 105 miles north of Fort William. Boat trips available from the Maree Hotel.
