Description
Lunan Bay has the best birding in autumn and winter when seabirds seek shelter here while auks, shearwaters, Northern Gannet, Northern Fulmar and skuas fly past the point. Winter visitors may include Long-tailed Duck, Velvet Scoter, Common Scoter, Red-breasted Merganser, Common Eider, Red-necked Grebe, Slavonian Grebe, Manx Shearwater and Sooty Shearwater. Rarities such as Sabine's Gull, Bonaparte's Gull and Eurasian Tree Sparrow.
